I'm surprised by this, but if there is a connection standard for dual voltage equipment where the owner wants to utilize that capability I cannot find it. Adapters can be problematic, enable Murphy to plug something into the wrong voltage, but they are pretty common. I looked at a dual voltage welder that utilized a "NEMA input power receptacle" and came with two power cords. It didn't say which NEMA receptacle but appeared to be a twist-lock style. That seems like a safer way to go, but I can't find one that is actually meant for dual voltage. I want to change my machine to 230V, but I'd like to retain the portability that comes with 115V connections when I do that.
