Yes, that is true, but I fail to see your point.
OK, I guess that means that you switch back for wider blades but that does not really address the OP's comments.

As indicated in my post, I have two band saws. Yes, I suppose it could be argued that discussing replacing the bronze bushings with Shopsmith bearings was off topic.
