My shop is much much worse then yours...... and I some how function in it. But you have a plan and high hopes, I've sort of given up.

Not a disaster but, you do have some work ahead. But 95% of your move is behind you. Just remember to stay hydrated.

What is in the lunch box is a few precision measuring devices packed safely away from the hazards in the shop.
The lunch box was my fathers and I just cannot let it go or store it in some bottom drawer somewhere.
It is "one of those keepers".

I've gained a little bit of floor space but my wife's observation was that "it" is just stacked higher,
The place should start looking and feeling more like my shop when I start putting "stuff" into those five wall cabinets. Right now they are empty.

WOW! I can understand why you don't want to get rid of it. Is it metal? It looks more like plastic from a much later time. I would have expected it to look more like the attached picture. I carried one like that in the late 60's when I worked for my uncle at the Berlin Lumber Company.

Yes, it is plastic. I also have a Thermos bottle that Dad carried. I keep it in a safe place in the kitchen.
I had a lunch box similar to the one you show but I think it was of much less quality. It did not hold up well; maybe I just didn't take care of it. I used it whenever I worked a shift that required I eat in the missile silo. More than once it took the quick trip to the bottom.
