No Dusty that is the safest way to handle SPAM. To open an attachment always opens the door for something to be put on your system. No operating system is invincible, as more and more security companies use linux to protect their systems more and more Spammers are learning Linux and it's weaknesses.

In fact at the last hack-a-con or what ever it was called they gave Hackers test copies of the latest voting systems ( all written in the latest and greatest security methods). I think it took a 11 year old ten minutes to break in and be able to change the results.

As long as it something can be written (stored) on a computer there is a doorway for hackers.
