Now wait for the question re the green belt!

It's been on there for years, I don't use the drill press that often, but haven't noticed any undue wear on the pulleys. It does rub very slightly on the way tubes, but I haven't noticed wear there either.

Does that cover all the bases.

All but whazzat and where ya get it?

It is a link belt, not sure what brand. It came with the V-drum sander kit,
http://stockroomsupply.ca/shop/drum-san ... s-kit.html I bought years ago. I run the sander directly off the spindle using a L050 Lovejoy coupler so I repurposed the belt.

My belt guard looks like the one on the machine with the green link belt.
I feel kind of bad about my 10-ER (serial # 50306). I have it sitting in a corner carefully protected by a batch of crap piled in front of it that I can't seem to make go away. As a result i never use it. All I have ever done to it was changing out the casters with new SS casters. It originally had the steel casters but they let the legs hit the floor from the slightest floor variation. The new plastic casters give it adequate clearance. It is so much heavier than the later SS's that I will try it as a lathe. It might also find itself wearing a mortising set-up from time to time.

No doubt the come from the same manufacturer, I suspect Stockroom supply buys direct as we don't have Harbor Freight in Canada. (if we did it would be Harbour Freight.)
