A shining example of what I consider to be the foolishness of striving to be PC.
No personal offense meant Brenda, but I really do feel strongly about this calling a spade a digging device silliness.
One thing that really riles me is a Salvation Army bell ringer saying happy holiday.
So MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone regardless of thy beliefs.
No offense taken. Holidays, as used by my family when I was growing up, has always
referred to Christmas day and New Year celebrations not some PC catch all phrase.
Me Too! Wish I could say that universally!

On the other hand the word holiday comes from holy+day.
