A new upper saw guard from Shopsmith is part number 514366 and is $86.09 plus shipping. Used ones can be found at the online auctions. If you look for a used one become familiar with what a complete one includes. Although in this case it requires tools to separate it's parts so it is unlikely one for sale would have parts missing. Here is a picture of the upper guard assembly.

WOW! IIRC the last one I purchased new was closer to $30!

If you are buying the complete upper guard as shown in my picture it $86.09, if you are buying just the plastic replacement part it's $24.35. Plus S & H in either case. Of course this guard has been around since the introduction of the Mark V 510 (& 505) in 1985. Inflation is a bummer.
JPG, didn't you pay around $350 for your Mark 5 when it was new?
