Do you have a copy of the earliest known 10ER manual? If so does it show a cast iron table?
Unfortunately I only have Model 10E and later 10ER Manuals I have not seen one from the time they changed from 10E to 10ER. I wonder if it would have it listed as a cast iron as opposed to a cast aluminum or would it be just an extension table in the listing. The 01-51 manual shows the extension table with ribs like the aluminum one and lists it simply as Extension Table.

I don't know. The 10ER manual I have is March 1953 and it clearly shows the ribbed aluminum table as it should. If the cast iron table appeared in an early manual and was faithfully depicted like the aluminum table you should be able to tell. The cast iron table has no ribs and it is only 3" wide. The aluminum table is 4" wide.

I wonder if they were a pre-production item and some (a few) of them made it out into the field. The main table has always been aluminum. It seems odd to me that you would make the extension table out of cast iron when transitioning from the 10E wood to the 10ER metal.
