I personally confirmed that with Emerson being the manufacturer; Emerson would not even discuss part numbers with me.

I hoped that GE might be a more open. It appears they are not.

Obviously, Shopsmith has some proprietary rights agreement with their suppliers. This is to be expected, really and is going to be the same with nearly all of the manufactorers (ie Delta, Ryobe, Powermatic, etc).

Thanks to all who offerred advice and suggestions. I bought some missing parts from a very kind eBayer and he ended up giving me a used motor. Only had to pay for shipping. Installed the motor and did the recommended maintenance on the headstock and it runs great now.
