As I said in your other thread the Quadrant is the same for all Shopsmith/Magna 4" Jointers. Your issue is exactly the problem I had with my Magna 4" Jointer Model 4E. All other parts for the locking functions will work on it. Of note the Model 4E and the early Model 620 Jointer's made before about 1957 had different locking parts (handle, bolt etc.) and have to be changed as a set if newer replacement parts are needed. They haven't changed since that time so this should not be the case for your Jointer. The hex head screw, P/N 506720 you reference is not a standard Hex Head Bolt. The head is much thinner than a standard bolt head. It is still the same part number for current Jointers and has been that P/N since the mid 1960's.
