I thought long and hard about the width and height of cut limitations before buying, but finally decided I have a small shop and using the Shopsmith bandsaw fits my overall space and sawing needs better than a stand alone one. As a result, I ordered the SS bandsaw and fence today. Thanks again for everyone’s positive feedback on its capabilities. I now have SS components ranging from 1955 to the present and they all still fit together, amazing! Is there any other line of tools that can begin to match that? I sure hope they continue on.

Good chose on shopsmith bandsaw. I had a 16 " bandsaw and found that the shopsmith was better for redrawing at 4 " thick and then glue up.
