I recommend you clarify your question or put it in context. Cannot tell what problem you're trying to solve. If you are asking about using a main table in some way as a lathe tool rest I'd strongly advise against that use.

Someone explain to me what a "modular" tool rest is??

Universal Tool Rest??? :confused:

Regardless, how could any SS table be used as a tool rest?
