There is a zippered part in the back, for what reason I'm knot sure, but would provide access to the inside.

Ted -- I regularly shake my medium bag violently at least once per day, since reading that nick and Drew did that. I have noticed that a fine layer of dust remains on the inner side of the bag after those shakings. Each time I empty the plastic bag, I also remove the cloth bag, turn it inside out and beat it like beating a rug (if you are old enough to know what a manual rug beater is like). Although the cake is gone, it builds up rapidly again.
