The problem was the telescope leg in between the two tables, wouldn’t let me get the fence any closer to the blade on either side. That’s way used a longer pipe and a third telescope leg and pushed the tables together.

I did and would if I had a third fence, on that note I need to say I put a Christmas order that has a M7 Fence Ext kit which would work has that.
I do have one of the top fence feather boards, but want to have one behind the blade as well in the in front to make it less likely to kickback.

I did see your post on them before last week and was worried I mite have the same issue. I gently started putting it together and had no problems with it. I don’t have a micrometer to check for ya. I got them in Marchs sale .

I got six floating tables and two extension tables so I could do set ups like this. I’m still thinking of getting two more and two more sets of the infeed/outfeed extension brackets.

Yep! Tinkertoy/erectorset mentality survives.

I thought that was one of the major advantages of the SS. The ability to adjust the tool to meet any challenges of the work required just needs a good imagination and additional parts or jigs.

Well I jump in and cut one board up. Now comes figuring out the fan part of the project. My Aunt wants a three foot spread.

This is where I’m at now.

I started setting up my 1st Shopsmith up to rip a PVC board in to 1” stripes. I decided to use my new Infeed/Outfeed Extension Table Brackets to do this, along with the second fence from the other Shopsmith. I was using four of my floating tables with the telescope legs in between the floating tables, now realizing that that not going to work on the infeed side with the second fence.

Here is an option with 2 sets of telescoping legs using the Extension Table Brackets.

The second picture shows a huge table without the Extension Table Brackets.

So today I was lay out my the fan after here the size of the fan. Not sure what looks better? Im trying to decide to go with all seven strips or just five?

My Aunt wanted a three foot wide top and not sure what looks better?

Now you have spread them different widths. I still like 7.

I think either 3 ft would look better if the straight portion was about a foot longer.(the fan portion is shorter, but the same final width) It would appear similar to the 4 ft fan then.
