I suggest that you not reinsert the damaged screw. I would use only the good screw and install it in the outfeed side of the insert. It is the outfeed side that tends to lift or be lifted out of position. The saw blade tends to push the work piece down onto the unfeed side of the table.SpecialV4213 wrote: Sun Jan 31, 2021 8:50 am I do thank everyone for their valuable information. Now I just need to replace the screw but the old one is still usable until I get it.
Having said that - this should be a "TEMPORARY" fix. Like until the next time you go near a hardware store. When there, buy several. These screws tend to be abused because the socket gets filled with saw dust and a wrench does not insert properly leading to socket abuse.
