Strategy for 520 owner to use 500 table

The 500 table uses are only limited by your imagination. Using 1 1/2" L angle aluminum brackets, I have put the 500 table on several bandsaws. The back bracket needs some cutting to clear the bandsaw case. I use the 500 table with the removable fence bracket and use the blank table insert. So far, I cut the front of the table and side of the insert to allow the bandsaw blade to be inserted.
I have been cutting the back leg off the trunnion and rewelding it to fit in the SPT mounting holes on the ends of the Shopsmith for use as an extension table. This places the table further toward the back which aids when cross cutting boards. I am looking at cutting both legs for 500 use so the fence can slide from the main table to the converted extension table just like the regular extension table.
Since I do not use my Shopsmiths for any kind of ripping, I have not looked at using the 500 tables for infeed and outfeed tables. I have used the narrow 500 extension table as an extension for the 4" joiner outfeed table. I find the Shopsmith is a big jig that can be used for many unique tasks. I am in discussions and meetings with a customer who wants to make CNC machine from a Shopsmith. I use my stand alone Shopsmith drill press as a milling machine and drill press using an X/Y vise. These are fun projects for me.
