Dusty, I'll be over in Dayton later this week... gotta do my thing at the Commissary and Afee's at Wright Pat... If time permits and the wife allows, I'll stop at Shop Smith and speak with someone if possible on this issue... Just to actually find out their reasoning.. Not to slander or slam them... Just want to know if they have any TD's (Technical Directives) issued.

The washer could be the right size but they still need to address it in their manual as a "Caution" or a note!..... They do say to keep the table level for sharpening knives!

I will provide some follow-up if possible... Ya'll have a great Holiday!

That would be great, Doug. I'll be waiting to hear what you learn.

It sure would be nice to be able to drop in at Shopsmith while on a grocery shopping trip. Be careful though, driving this time of year could be hazardous. I'd feel real bad to have sent you off on a trip and then found that you had a fender bender on ice.

Ok, what was the final outcome for this issue. I just ordered my jig and want to make sure it's got the correct washers before I destroy my blades.
