Neat joint. Easy too. I'll have to try it. Don't have pocket holer though.

Yes, you do. The Mark V will make pocket holes. Check out your copy of PWTFE.

I was thinking about your joint today as I looked through my copy of Fine Woodworking and they were stress testing joints.
It is a fun article and they even give the breaking point in lbs. for each joint.
