Sorry, meant to say it is a Sawstop employee doing that. I don't recall if he said what method he used to activate, hot dogs or something else. I think lots were surprised that the saw had no ill effects after that many activations.

Re: sawstop
Sorry, meant to specify that he's a Sawstop employee. So, Sawstop is supplying all. Not sure if he's using a new blade every time, apparently blades can often be removed from the brake fairly easily, although they should be professionally inspected before re-use to ensure teeth aren't damaged, still straight, etc.

Re: sawstop
Follow up to on the guy intentionally activating...
Trent Davis is the employee who has done these. If you can get to the link below, not sure if you have to be a member of the Sawstop group or not, you'll see his postings, including a blade he activated on at least 53 times. His "record" for one day was 100 activations!

Re: sawstop
Just a general reply to the group. We did check the material being cut and debriefed the operators who experienced the problems. All the wood was dry and the operators were not doing anything improper. We have 24 hour video and audio monitoring anytime anyone is in the shop. To answer JPG The club has born the cost of the last two cartridges ($206.00) bought from Sawstop. Of course the saw is now off warranty.
