You could certainly try to salvage the bowl / blank with lots of either thin CA glue or Minwax Woodhardener (or one of the other penetrating wood stabilizers)tom_k/mo wrote:I was not aware of those postings on Ebay, some nice looking blanks there. But it also depends on when you find the cork wood. If you discover that half of the bowl is sponge, then that is way too much .. also the weight of the sponge vs the solid wood will give some extra "excitement" ..
