That's exactly the issue. If I stop frequently and poke around on the filter bag I can knock the shavings down into the bag. But, as soon as I turn it on, you can see the turbulence pushing them back up into the filter bag, where they pack up on top of the motor housing and the impellor.

I may play around with RF Guy's suggestion of a deflector on the impellor outlet. Temporarily, I've swapped an old Delta 2-stage barrel dust collector to the planer and moved the 3300-2 to the table saw.

This probably is small for your application (2.5" lines and in the shop vac line) but I thought it was interesting that Dust Deputy has a bagging version: (https://www.oneida-air.com/dust-deputy/ ... arator-kit). Perhaps the concept could be adapted to a Super Dust Deputy.

I mocked up some DC-3300 parts just to look at this for a bit. I'm also not a fluid dynamics guy, but wonder if some strategically placed holes could be added the the 'horn', or flat blade nozzle as RFGuy referred to it, that might help with the issue. My thinking is to create some air flow in the area where shavings collect to reduce that tendency while at the same time decrease the downward nozzle blast force.
