Thanks guys! I have given quite a bit of thought to a system restore. Thought about that option as a last resort, not quite there yet. Two more trys first. Acrobat and Fire Fox.
Don't know a thing about Fire Fox, but have read a lot of us use it. Will look into that later. Any precautions or hints?? Doug (ADMIN) had mentioned I could use Fire Fox to view the videos.

It seems that some of those changes may have caused his problem.

Funny thing - Today right clicked on the blank video screen and did not have any reference to Adobe, so used the link Mike gave me and tried several configurations with no luck. The phone call to Adobe was one of those with many recorded choices and they wanted to charge for service. Sorry! Not today!
Then loaded up Fire Fox- What a blast! In trying to view a "tips" video using Fire Fox as my browser. It was kind enough to tell me it couldn't show the video without Adobe Flash Player. That was strange, because I had just been told by Flash player "You have version 10,0,22,87 installed". So installed it again, but no improvement to Shopsmith videos.
Un-installed Fire Fox and back at the same old configuration, except now I know Adobe and all it's components are functioning.
After a couple of more days, I might have to go to a System restore. Am now thinking I couldn't lose anything important as the problem started before I up dated Microsoft Internet Explorer and up dated Windows. Can do that again in just a few minutes.
Oh yeah, one of the very first things I did was to call my ISP (a local ISP) using Wireless Internet. He hadn't changed a thing and he could also view the videos on his computer.

For what it's worth Chuck. I can't view the SD sessions either in IE.

Does Windows think the dvd player is installed/functioning as a dvd player and does windows think adobe is installed/functioning properly? Snoop around with control panel/system/device driver to see what IS there.

Chuck,
before you try the system restore, you could try going into control_panel / add_remove_software (assuming you are on win XP or earlier)
and un-install adobe flash (all versions, if there is more than one).
re-boot and then do a fresh install of flash.
there were some security issues finally patched by Adobe a couple of weeks ago and one of the patches might not have gone in cleanly.
while you are at it, you want to be sure that your adobe acrobat reader is at version 9.1 or newer because of those security issues. after that update, you will find an icon for adobe.com that wants to install Adobe AIR. the consensus here is to just say no to AIR and to delete or hide that icon.

Yep! The video works! I can view anything on U-tube or anywhere else on the internet or CDs. That's what is so strange. But then I never seem to have normal issues!

Ivan - Thanks for the reminder to un-install and then install again. I'll give it a go tomorrow. I was thinking I should maybe un-install something before up-dating, but didn't know what.
Too late for the "before you restore" message. Tried that tonight and a Window came up when finished and said the restoring (s) didn't work. And they didn't!!! There has been no changes to my settings.

Didn't work? Had you PREVIOUSLY created a system restore point? If you have XP/Home, YOU must create them manually. XP/Pro creates them automatically.

Charlese, if I have understood this thread - your problem seems to be associated with Internet Explorer (or at least that you are using Internet Explorer).
Have you given any thought to simply loading up Firefox?
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/personal.html
OR you might just need to start over with the restore effort but I thought Restore was to be used for when a system would not "START".
