I found one. I think it's the right one, it's about 3/8" height sitting flat. I could sell it for $1000 on eBay but I'm lazy and that sounds like too much work. However, if you really want an original part you can PM me your address I'll mail it to you.
If the eBay statement is true, I'm going to part out my 500 out and start over!
My stop ring is very loose on the way tube. Being a newbie, I assumed the purpose of this rubbery part was to absorb some impact if I carelessly loosen the carriage in drill press mode...assuming I get my hand out of the way!

This what the stop ring I have looks like. It's supposed to protect the headstock and carriage, and also position the table so the a saw blade is repeatably positioned in the insert.
