My question is that is seems on all the literature I have seen on the OPR it shows it being used, but I don't see the SS headstock in the picture. It is the OPR system complete, but do you have to remove headstock or how is it positioned in order to us the OPR. Maybe I am just overlooking something. I am thinking of ordering, but looking at options before hand. I know several of you use this system and all comments seem to be good, so I am sure I will get a good answer. THANKS TO ALL......
The headstock will be slid pretty far away from the way-tube pivots, in order to make room for the OPR system. This means the way-tubes are quite heavy when you want to lift it. I read somewhere that the OPR-on-way-tubes was not marketed until the Lift Assist was ready to help with that significant leverage.
On the other hand, I mounted my new-style OPR to a spare Midi Mark V stand, which is 18-19 inches shorter than a normal Mark V, and which has no headstock at all.
Good luck!

Here's a picture of the headstock on the way tubes. What Ive found is if the headstock is located about 6 to 8 inches from the left tie bar, there is plenty of room to grasp the way tubes and lift the unit to vertical position. Also I mount the OPR in the horizontal mode before lifting. I am not the huskiest old man (75 yrs and 5'6" - 150lbs) and can still do this fairly easily without the lift.

Look at the top of the photo to see the quill of the headstock. If you are wondering what this setup is for - I was routing a short 1/2" dado in a lower shutter stile so the control rod of the shutter would fit into the rail.

No I missed out on ordering. Something came up late afternoon and never had the opportunity to get back to a computer. So I guess I will have to wait until it goes back on sale, or bite the bullet and pay full price for it. It looks like a good tool to have in a shop.
Thanks to all that responded back to me, you guys are always a great help.
I keep finding little windows on this forum, that I don't really know what they do. So sometimes I experiment. Probably shouldn't do that, I know in my shop it can get me into trouble.

You may still be able to get it as it is still listed on the website and email offers. I ordered bradpoint bits and got the sale price yesterday. I had called on Tuesday and asked how long the spring projects sale would be on and was told they didn't know. They said that as long as it was listed on the website they would sell it at the sale price.
The bradpoint bits I bought were 30% off on their email special that expired on Tues. 4/14 and that is the price I paid on Fri. 4/17. The code on the order for the price was from the email special.

Yes. I ordered the OPR yesterday by telephone with Dave in Customer Service. They must have been extremely busy because I had to wait on the phone for about ten minutes. That's a good sign.
I ordered by telephone because we are virtually in transition between Gainesville and the Upper Peninsula, and I wanted to get some idea of the ship date. Dave said that the OPR was on back order so I'm having it shipped to my "Workshop in the Woods".
As was previously mentioned, I've found that regardless of the cut-off date for a special sale, if it is still up on the web site the price is honored.

Okay guys I have followed your advice. I just got back on computer and read that you think as long as the item still shows a sale price they will honer it. So I check the web site and sure enough it still shows to be on sale. So I place an order on the internet, will see if they will ship to me at that price. Figured I really didn't have anything to lose so might as well try. Thanks for the advice. I will call in a day or so and check delivery, even trhough you have said it is on back order, which is fine with me.......
