No luck involved at all. I just looked it over and figured out the best way to proceed. I used an ice pick with the tip bent at 90 degrees to pull the spring end out over the pin and then used a flat head screw driver to finish it off. I also straightend the end of the spring some to make it easier to work with. I just fixed another one yesterday in the same amount of time.
On the next one I will video the process to share what I learned. You guys made my life simpler by explaining what needed to be fixed, so I figure if I can return the favor that would be great........
