I also have had the surgery done. I thought it was time when I no longer could read the road signs on the interstate. The big green ones. Now I feel much better for everyone on the road with me. Keep on top of eye care and we with new sight watch for little black floaters. Good for you John

FWIW, I just had my every 6 month checkup. Again no signs of glaucoma and I was 20/15 in my good left eye. The surgery has been a real life changer. If you are told you should have it done do it. You won't regret it.
