Thanks to all who replied. I am very grateful to such a large body of knowledge to draw from.

Here's what I did today. I cut a table out of 1/2" osb, used 5/16 t-nuts, 1/2" long hex bolts and washers. I cut the table 24"x14" and braced the underside with 2"x4". There were a couple of issues getting clearence under the table but a second 2.5" hole solved that. I plan to brace the infeed side of the table with a support leg. I'll screw it in place after the table is bolted down...this will keep both sides of the table flat where I had to cut an access kerf for the blade.

This table, along with the material removed from the upper guide casting, give me a comfortable 6.75" throat...picked up .75"!!!

I made a fence out of oak that I clamp in place...it's primative but it works for now...I think I will eventually have a table and resaw fence made out of aluminum.

I did a test with a new Olson 1/2" 4 TPI blade and a 2"x4" on edge and it just melted right through. Nice even cut top to bottom. The only stock I have right now that would test the full height of the cut is a $100 billet of quilted maple...too expensive and too beautiful for testing. I'll look around the pile out back tomorrow and see if I can find a 2"x8" to rip down.
