IF you don't use a landline for a wired connection, then there is also VOIP, but most of these have features for blocking numbers. I used to have OOMA for VOIP. Actually cut my landline long, long ago and only in last few years cut my VOIP because it became tedious to block number by number. IF it isn't one of these, then please illuminate us as to what kind of phone you have. Dick Tracy watch??? There are many different, and independent phone systems today so I am afraid you have to be a bit more specific.

Think flip phone. Think landline(fiberoptic) with 760 Mhz internet.

Nice. Hope you are not paying for phone service on that fiber link, i.e. hopefully it is included. I don't know your service, but often you have to individually block numbers on most landline (POTS, cable, fiber) type of services, which sucks as spammers have proliferated so much in recent years. Yeah, with a flip phone not many options either to curtail spammers. Sorry. Bummer. Not trying to talk anyone into an iPhone. I kind of equally hate iOS and Android these days and I wouldn't dare buy anything on Harmony OS (Chinese). Not many good choices in HW or SW these days for this technology IMHO. I digress.

Yes the "landline" voice/data is bundled(recently replaced POTS/DSL originally USED). Unlimited voice/data - equal up/down load speed. So far I like it.

My consternation is WTH created a phone system with caller id that the 'caller' can manipulate the id?(spoof)

Sorry to tell you all this, but trying to stop calls with the federal do not call list is futile. It does not apply to preventing government agencies and as you probably noticed up until last month, political calls either. I have 40+ years experience working on telephone systems for both the federal government and private sector. Android and Google phones that have the call screening built in are your only options, or just let every number that's not in you contact list go to voicemail.

Trust me, I loved flip phones. I worked at a major company designing the RF transceivers at the transistor level that went into flip phones (hence my RFGuy handle)...this was in the era when flip phones were new on the market and all the rage. Sure, there has been a resurgence in a small part of the cellular market recently as some customers abandon smart phones and go back to a flip phone. Hey, come to think of it, this might be a marketing opportunity for Shopsmith. When can they release the "flip" motor to sell instead of the "smart" motor?

P.S. Do NOT buy a French flip phone.

I believe it's still working well for our landline. You get one ring, then the service somehow hangs up on the caller. It's free for landlines.

Too Late! Hence my comment. And I thought spaghetti was Italian! Well at least I am paying Consumer Cellular rather than Ma Bell(AT&T) even though I travel the same path.
