Also seen it as Single Purpose tool.(the shopsmith multipurpose perspective).

In example; strip sander, belt sander, Planer, band saw, sand flee or jointer. fjimp

Hi MBC,
Why you have so many SS tailstocks for woodturning? I saw them in the photo of your SPT cart/bench and wondering why you have that many. Being an avid woodturner myself, I guess curiosity just got the best of me.

I have 3 shopsmiths now. I had an extra tailstock for my 520 so I could switch the tailstocks back an fort when turning some small vessels that had to be drilled in the bottom to fit in a chuck. It was easier than changing the tool in a single tailstock because I have to tap them out with a hammer. This way I just changed tail stocks. Besides you know me, cant have to many SS accessories.
