While waiting for the manual, you could view this Sawdust session to get started.

The Ace Hardware, Lowes and Home Depot stores here in Tucson all carry Johnson's original formula paste wax. I suspect this would be the case most every where. I don't recommend using anything else other than Johnson's.navycop wrote:I went to HD website for the paste wax. It wasn't listed. Where is a good place to get it (besides SS)? Will any brand of paste wax work (i.e. carnauba, turtle, etc.)?
Check the cleaning aisle at HD or Lowe's or even the grocery store. Johnson's is best. Minwax and Trewax also make a version that works well. Just make sure it has no silicon or hardeners.navycop wrote:I went to HD website for the paste wax. It wasn't listed. Where is a good place to get it (besides SS)? Johnson's Original Paste Wax UPC 46500 00202 ! Accept NO substitutes!(trewax excepted). The OLD TIMEY stuff is what works! Hence 'Original formula' is to be sought out. The last time I bought a can was either at Lowe's or Home Depot, but I think it WAS Home Depot. Do NOT get the kind that is NOT 'original formula' in the paint department that is intended for finished wood waxing. Good Luck!navycop wrote:I went to HD website for the paste wax. It wasn't listed. Could be interesting to see if the 'major chain grocery store' will carry it!;) KROGER here does NOT!fixit wrote:At the risk of beating a dead horse: you can find Johnson's Original Paste Wax at nearly all grocery stores (at least here in TX). Look in the cleaning products aisle. Even our small local grocery has several cans of it all the time. (We have NO major chain grocery stores although we are supposed to get one this winter - probably in Dec. or Jan. next year).
