I noticed an odd similarity when I looked at judaspre1982's first post in this thread comparing his before photo of the inside leg surface to my greenie's before photo of the leg. Look at these two pictures and you'll see what I mean.
Here's judaspre1982's greenie's leg followed by mine. Notice the drip stains........
Anybody know what may have caused these? Purely coincidence or ........

BOTH previous owners had a MALE dog!:eek: or Both had a workshop 400' away from the 'house'(like "Farmer Francis")!:D

Could this be the tail stock end of the unit and someone was really sloppy staining something still chucked in the lathe? Well this is as good a reason as having a dog in the shop.......Or being too far away from the Necessary.....

While in the old shop both my planer and jointer ended up with "tom cat streaks" on them. I scrubbed them down with pine cleaner and quit putting off getting the cat (a dump-out) fixed.
So far I have never marked my territory on a Shopsmith...
