Interesting-- the plop thickens.

You show the "current" moldy/dado arbor that is 1/4" longer, and obviously the body is thicker. The new moldy/dado arbor is listed a 3-1/8". Both of my 5/8 "Universal" arbors are 3-1/8" long, one 1" diam, one 1-1/4" diam.

So the current count of 505506 arbors is up to three.
1. 1" body, 3-1/8 length
2. 1-1/4" body, 3-1/8" length
3. 1-1/4" body, 3-3/8 length

JPG is right, the various Shopsmith arbors have been an ongoing (and interesting) topic.
I had posted a link awhile back with photos of some of the different Shopsmith arbors that I own. Included in the photos is P/N 555619 (no longer made), one more Shopsmith 5/8" molder/dado arbor to add to the list. It is shorter than the current MK 5 molder/dado arbor, does not have a keyed washer, and has a 5/8" saw arbor type end nut. Here is the link to the photos.

Right. And I expect that will be the one I get with the Moldy/Dado blade set.
Apparently the "Universal" arbor (same part.no.) is no longer available. Glad I got mine when they were. I like being able to switch the WWII blade with the Combi and have the blade in the same position without fussing. I don't know if the "single blade" arbor will provide that.

The SS 5/8" 510 arbor (555608) WILL self align. The differing length is what distinguishes it from a 500 version. The same is true of the current 5/8" 500 arbor (555321) when mounted on a 500/Mark 5.

The older 5/8" arbors did not self align.

I don't understand the statement regarding the arbor being able to "self align".

Are we talking about the arbor aligning on the shaft OR the blade being mounted to the arbor?

Either way - how does it "self align"?

When the table carriage is slid all the way against the headstock(a collar on the way tube spaces the carriage out from the headstock). This should position the blade in the center of the blade slot. The arbors(and the spacer and the table) are different on the Mark 5/500 vs the 505/510/520. If you have the correct arbor, the blade should be very close to the center of the slot. The later 505/10/20 collars seem to be a softer material(rubbery) and I do not think they are as repeatable as the harder Mark 5 collars. I do NOT have any experience with the 505/10/20 YET!

Ah, so. This is good to know it will match up to the Uni's. If I ever get another single 5/8 blade I believe I'll order a -608 for it (so's I don't have to mess with them washers).
