I guess the answer is yes. There are teal scroll saws and there are gray scroll saws. The gray, naturally, are the older scroll saws. This makes the teal scrolls saws (some people call them green while others others call them blue) are the newer scroll saws.
In reality, each of these two models (gray and green) can be purchased as either self driven (standalone) or Mark V driven (not standalone).
I guess then that one could say there are really at least four models.
Example: I have a gray, self driven standalone model that has been modified to include the "quick disconnect, easily retensioned saw blade".
Maybe some people think that means I have had two different scroll saws but they both had the same part number and both were gray and both were self standing - so I think not. I have only had one scroll saw.
