I sent that. I have the manual. I scanned a copy of all parts needed along with a copy of the front of the manual with a picture of the machine along with model no etc. I sent that! Now I get an e-mail back that my receipt does not mention the model no of the machine so they can't send any parts. This is the worst #$$%#@#customer service I haver ever dealt with. My wife called the sports center and they readily agreed to take it back. So now since it is 98% assembled I have to get help to load it onto my big truck and drive accross town to return it. I will never buy another product represented by thier companies.

Thanks for the update. Anyone that buys a Schwinn product and gets burnt that has read this forum has no one to blame but themselves. I know I put Schwinn on my don't buy list. Along with Polan.
My buddy bought a Polan chain saw, it would not run right. He called Polan and they told him to take it for repair. He called the repair center and they told him the problem was most probably an adjustment and since adjustments were not included in waranttee they would charge him to get the saw running. He took it back to Home Depot and told them the story, they were aware that, that was the case. Apparently this is small business owners way of combating the big box. If you buy from them, they include dealer setup but if you buy from the big box getting the machine to run intially is not a warrantee issue so if you want them to do it you will pay. Polan offered no help. Thus they are on the do not buy list also.

You get to the sports center......advise of the return.......they tell you, "Sorry Mr. Cabinetmaker, the unit needs to be in it's original packaging with all the parts in order for us to accept the return".
News headline......"This just in...Greer, South Carolina.... local man goes berserk. Police found him trying to shove a partially assembled elliptical machine where the sun don't shine."
The manager at the sports center was very courteous. I showed him the e-mails from the customer service and he just could not believe it. Money was happily refunded and we were told that if we wanted to try some other product (they carry several) that if we had problems with it that he would personally come out and take care of it.

Funny, when I was a kid, we all respected Schwinn. Because, we ALL rode Schwinn.
You could run a Schwinn bike through a brick wall, and it would be OK.
But, back then, they were built in America, by Americans.
