Replace the belt with a new one and then check your input voltage. Simple fix

Think I found problem motor sheave need oil. But now have a proble with quill I was removeing to clean and handle slipped and now think spring is off
how do I get to it

Try to turn the quill handle ion the same direction you would to extend the quill. If you are lucky the pin in the inside of the spring housing may reseat itself. IF YOU ARE LUCKY!!.
iF YOU HAVE MY KIND OF LUCK YOU WILL HAVE TO REMOVE THE QUILL PINION SHAFT TO RE-WIND THE SPRING. I ONLY HAVE DONE THIS ONE TIME AND IT IS A BEAR TO DO.
Cut fingers and all that. Or you can contact Bill Mayo through this forum and he might have a procedure that he can describe for you.

Think I found the problem The motor sheave needed oil . BUT hve another problem now let the handle slip when takeing out the quill. And the spring slipped off. Do any of you know how to put it back on??? Been trying with no luck. Help me, help me

Sorry I sent the same message a few times but it didn't look like it went though. Try moving the quill in and out didn't work so I took it all out I can't get the spring out of the houseing. any Ideas???

You do not need to remove the spring from the housing. If you do, you will have a very difficult time getting it back in again. If you are not wearing leather gloves and remove the spring, you will most likely end up bleeding from cuts from the spring when it is released.

Bphoto, Take a deep breath and let these guys talk you thru what ever it is you need to do. They have on at least three different occasions got me thru some pretty major "challenges". I don't even start messing around with issues until I read the book and then ask here. My rule is "do what they say to do, and don't do what they say don't do".
