Shop-Made Infill Plane project

I am still learning. I don't have a great inventory of planes to compare with. One thing that helps, is that this is just massive. It likes to stay "in the cut" a lot more than a light-weight plane. But for my types of projects I can't really say the finish is noticeably better. I like having a thick heavy blade, too, without spending money on the great new aftermarket ones. I think this one's blade is about 3/16" thick at the front.

BTW, one thing my wife concurs with, even if this stuff isn't appreciated by all nor necessarily profitable, is that it keeps me from being a couch potato. I'm running about 20 pounds lighter since I got my Shopsmith.
