Yes Mike, this is a project where I would think an accurate scale and precise measurements are mandatory. Not to disagree with Paul, but different strokes for different objectives.

You have done a fantastic job.

I know how much effort you have invested because I built one and I am not proud enough of it to take pictures. When finished, it looks simple. It is not. I would challenge anyone who does not in the value of precision wood working to take this on.

It is also a good exercise in laminating and joining pieces.

Align your drill press and table before you start.

By the way, I don't see many Asian stand-alone tools generating this type of "homage."

Anyone have a set of plans they want to part with? A while back SS said they had some and offered to send them to me and then a month or so later thet said they don't have any more and had no plans to make them available.
