I didn't look at every video to verify, but it looks like sessions 1-19 are hosted with Google Video. Starting with session 20, the videos are at Blip.tv.

So, for some reason, I think it's Blip.tv that you have a problem with.

Are you using Firefox with the NoScript plugin and have Blip.tv blocked? Anything else you might have that could be blocking Blip.tv?

The only SawDust Session segment I have tried that hasn't worked for the last several months is 'Setting Jointer Knives" in SS #6.

Is there a difference in the data/file format between them? What does google video 'use'?

Pretty sure they both use Flash, but I could be wrong.

There are slight differences in the screens between #19 and #20-#24. I don't know what they are but they are different. The last five say something about blip tv.

Hi,

I tested several and everything seemed fine.

Flash 10.1.53.64 is the current version, I'm thinking that update is not to old so you might want to check you are using this current version.

Also for the fun of it check:
http://blip.tv/search?q=shopsmith
and see what happens.

Thanks, Ed. I did not know to use that link. It works. At least on two videos which is all I selected.

sawdust sessions

You are correct JPG: not all sawdust sessions have worked for me - I sometimes get the Shopsmith equivalent of the Bill Gates 'blue screen of death' that you picture. I, too, tried each and every session, e-mailed and called Shopsmith and was told to reload the latest Flash Player. Didn't work for me either. I think one of the posts was correct that Shopsmith changed video format or recording sw somewhere along the line. When I get back to my computer (iMac with Leopard OS) I will try some of the suggested downloads like blip.tv.

Thanks Ed! I hadn't seen the 'One Machine: Five tools' video before. I'll have to explore later.
