Velcro Ties

Back when I could hear I had a sound-reinforcement company, and had to take care of hundreds of cables. Sound cables are even more fragile than electrical, and even need special winding up (left over, right over, look it up).

But I can't say it enough times; wind the cords so that the stress is taken out in the winding!!! Take care of the tools, and they will, you know..... Especially the parts that can make your life go horribly wrong if they break through mis-handling!

These strips are available everywhere. HD, Lowes, ACE, Walmart. They work great and not expensive.

Cords

I stand in awe. I am reading posts from people that actually keep cords neat in a wood shop. I have never seen this in person. I alway though it was a myth. My hand power tools are lined up on 2 shelves under my main bench and all plugged in a power strip under the benchtop. Admittedly, the cords are far from neat but using the tools is as handy as I have been able to make it.
