Is this one restorable?

There were more photos taken from a further away. I can't locate those now. These clearly showed two Shopsmiths.

I may not get a chance to check them out. My truck has been in the shop for weeks with a crazy electrical problem.

Those garden tools alone are worth $3.79
I hauled almost all of the SS's I bought in a car. If you take a SS Allen wrench (surely there is at least one in that box), a socket for the bench tube cap screws (9/16ths?) and a big rubber mallet you can take one down in a few minutes. OK, yes, it was a Lincoln so it was close to being a truck.

member that ol' song... "If you got the money honey, I've got the time". It's all dependent on what time you want to spend on it and to consider if you are a dedicated woodworker or an idle woodworker who prefers to restore tools?! Me I would rather woodwork for the joy of it and not spend so much time in restoring old saws and the like.

Restore it for the pleasure of doing it and not to save a buck or two.. It's only money anyway.

=) its funny you say that. I broke down a shopsmith and hauled it home in my 2005 Mitsubishi Lancer. I got the whole unit, plus bandsaw, belt sander, router table, plus a few other accessories in. The only thing I had to make a second trip for was the DC3300

In the pictures, nothing looks abused,just dirty. Worth looking at and making an offer.Little elbow grease and you have a complete Shopsmith shop.If your local to Southern Calif.,PM me. I've got a truck and would be happy to help you hall that to your shop.

Two bandsaws are there(one on the table, one on the bench tubes(notice different cover knobs.)

Lotsa rust(electrolysis and evaporust will take care of that. The CI bs table seems to be the worst. Question is, do the motors 'run'? Also what be in the 'garden tool' box. Looks like a 510 and a 500. accesories?????

Definitely worth looking at. IMHO
