Here's another idea for marking your stop collar. If you have a 4-jaw lathe chuck, which I don't, you could put the stop collar in the chuck and use the jaws to mark the collar at the center of each jaw. That would give you accuracy to 1/64 inch. If you want to double the accuracy, turn the chuck 1/8 turn and make 4 more marks between the first 4. Now you have accuracy to 1/128 inch.

I know this is a really old thread, (and that I could order Shopsmith's stick-on vernier tapes)but I am looking for the .pdf of vernier tapes for the adjustable stop collar.
I downloaded the file shown in the message above, but it does not open. I am hoping that someone may still have a copy of that .pdf that they could send to me.
I need to use it today or tomorrow, otherwise, I would spring the ten bucks for the fancy Shopsmith stick-on version...
