after removing the speed dial i found this. looks like the only fix is a "new" housing. dont have a welder or i could make something work. u live and learn.
All is not 'lost'. A nut and washer on the far side of the broken area around the 'former' tapped hole will be ok, but is a mite 'unhandy'.
A more 'permanent fix' could involve jb-weld and a plate.
Food for thought!!!!
P.S. capture that anti-rattle spring before the shop gremlins snatch it!!!

I agree with JPG. A little bit of JBWeld used to hold a piece behind the opening will do the trick. I might suggest that you drill and tap the hole before you JBWeld it in place.
Let the JBWeld cure for a day or two and your making sawdust the next day.
Hope you got a hold of that spring. You need it.
Looks like a LOT of sawdust that needs to be extracted too.
If you decide to buy a housing - just say so. I think that you'll get a response.

Please just let JPG know via Private Message. Discussing clandestine operations on an open forum is no longer clandestine.

As Dusty has mentioned, An 'offer' to sell is not allowed.
I be on thin ice claiming to only be 'asking' rather than offering to buy.
I thought 'others' may also want to know.
As Dusty has said, a PM is the way to 'escalate' the 'wording'!
You can always sell on e-bay.
Strictly as a matter of complete detailing;
"Offering for the cost of shipping" is a lesser 'issue'. No hidden(:rolleyes:) between the lines message intended!:eek:
