My answer will fall short as I am in the midst of teaching my brother how to use the various aspects of his newly acquired 510. My power station is in storage and I have little desire to dig it out. It is an older model. The wheels set that came with it lacked instructions (as did the Power station) I did discover the shim relationship from Shopsmith. After a fair amount of modification on my part, I did manage to mount the wheels. Sometime later I saw another (newer) power station and realized either the design had changed significantly or the prior owner used stand parts from another tool stand as nothing lines up perfectly. Given the questionable status of my unit I likely should have refrained from offering any comment on this subject. I apologize for doing so and for creating confusion. The power station needs 9/16" spacers and longer screws.
It also must have the foot pedal located towards the center from the older location.
Other than that, why did they not fit?
P.S. See post #8.

No apology needed. For myself, I 'like' unusual circumstances(sorta like a mystery novel etc.) I find it leads to better understanding since they bring unusual details to light!:)
