My louvers are 3" wide. They are tapered, with a rounded edge. Just a figure I came up with - no rules that I know of. Give me your e-mail address (by private messages (in the upper right hand corner of the forum pages)) and I can send you much info. on the shutters I made and am making. (About 35 pages if text and about the same number of pictures.) Information on making shutters is hard to find. Thought I'd document my methods for anyone wanting them. - There is probably better - quicker methods, but also probably more spendy.

Nice work on the shutters! How wide are your louvers? Are they elliptical? I'm in the planning stages with my shutters and would like to make them 3 1/2" wide. I might save myself some heartache and pay to have the slats milled into an elliptical shape.
