Yes, but "one bite at a time" is how I'm going to do this - you wouldn't believe how hard it is to find lead for sale.:confused:

Can you give me your math I figured closer to 110# - 125# for the bench tubes (1 7/8" greenie tubes) My math is probably wrong, I just want to check it.

Use the "id"?(1 5/8", maybe 1 1/2")

I "rough" measured the bench tubes at 1 5/8" (ID) x 52.75"
Lead weighs .4092 lb/in3
volume of the tube = 109.40044 in3
44.76 pounds per tube for the lead if I melt and fill.
Adds 89.5 pounds for both bench tubes

I "rough" measured the way tubes at 1" (ID) x 52"
Lead weighs .4092 lb/in3
volume of the tube = 40.8407 in3
16.71 pounds per tube for the lead if I melt and fill.
Adds 33.4 pounds for both way tubes

Adds 122.9 pounds if I fill all four tubes. Not bad for weight, but that's a crap load (technical term) of lead to melt and pour.

Adds 52.2 pounds for both way tubes

You must have 10E/ER 'way' tubes.;) My 10E/ER tubes are 1 3/8" id??????

Hey, I fixed all the figures and I did say rough. I'm measuring by proxy (12 yo son over the phone) so the measurements may not be "exact".

If you can measure yours and let me know the ID I'll do the math withthe official JPG measurements.:p
