Belt might not be tight enough and motor and pulleys not in line. I had that problem and as I watched the belt it had a lot of play in it that the belt was jumping. I loosened the motor and started tightening backup slowly until the belt was fairly tight. Then I lined up the pulleys and tightened set screws. Next I started the machine still vibrated but way less. I tightened the motor until the belt had just a little flex in it. Started the machine and it sat there in the same spot during the whole planing session and sounded less noises than previously. Been running great ever since. One thing I did notice is the motor has a lot of flex on the mounting bracket that it is attached to.
