I too am waiting and have been for quite some time for monies owed to me BUT I have not pointed that out "by name" on an open forum.

However, I do hope that you deal more one on one and "in private" with others whom you feel owe you something.:(

HOP BOTTOM, PA - that did not sound like a real place so I googled it. Guess what. Looks like a good place to live.

Hmmmm Mailed on the 6th and has not arrived yet on Saturday the 10th. I am not sure that even qualifies yet as snail mail. If I mail something to my daughter, who lives less than an hours drive from me, she will get it four or five days later. That is approaching snail mail.

However, if the postal cuts take place like is being discussed, five days to go 100 miles may be considered "rapid delivery".

Given what I get in the mail these days, I would gladly accept mail delivery twice a week if only it would come at the same general time of day. I used to get my mail sometime in the hour after high noon. Now I get it some time between the hours of 10:00am and 5:00pm and hardly ever the same day to day. Often not the same carrier.

For future reference folks, Paypal works quite well with minimal delay. Only downside that I am aware of is that you will need to transfer your $ out of the paypal account into a bank account after being 'paid'.

They take it out of your account 'automatically' when you pay someone.

IMHO it should work the same both ways! However their 'service' is free to the buyer.

Here that occurs when the 'regular'(carrier assigned to my 'route') is sick or there is not a 'current assignee' so other carriers are covering (additional work at odd times). Also it seems 'they' shuffle(redistribute) the routes often.

I do not understand how shipping the mail from Lexington, KY to Louisville, KY or Knoxville, TN for 'sorting' and then back to Lexington, KY will save money. I would think the old way of separating local mail from more distant destinations when depositing it into the box would be more economical. Maybe we are heading 'back' to more logical methods. Remember consolidating school districts!

Economies of scale do not always net out.

Have to admit, I got a kick out of this title's thread. I was wondering which carolers we were supposed to picket or where the carolers were picketing.:D
