Those images are a crying shame. I cannot believe that Shopsmith produced manuals (in this day and age) that are so bad. No, I have to believe it because I have originals that are just that. The lift assist manual is no better.

End of Useless Rant.

Thanks for the post. There will be users out there that need these.

ATTENTION SHOPSMITH: PLEASE BROWSE THROUGH THE ONLINE MANUALS THAT INCRA PROVIDES. THIS IS HOW IT SHOULD BE DONE.

Let us not be too hasty condemning SS here.

I am more inclined to be suspicious of the scanner(both individual and machine).

When scanning b/w documents with pix, the scanner must be set to gray scale pix mode if it has one.

Samples:

Color pix mode - - Grayscale pix mode - - BW pix mode

Holding yer tongue right does make a difference.;)

Holding ones tongue might be right but that doesn't explain or excuse the poor quality of some documents that Shopsmith has delivered. The really bad ones to which I refer are the Lift Assist and 520 Upgrade (Pro Fence) documents that came with the equipment.

Hope the ones with the Mark 7 are professional copies.
