Thanks for the info. It appears to me the main difference between the 500, 510 & 520 is the table, and the M7 has the new digital power head. You are correct the upgrades are expensive!!! If at some point I decide I want a more accurate table would the incra TS fence be a better and less expensive option?

Kinda like apples and apple baskets. An incra is an empellishment to a ss. It requires the ss for starters. Not sure of its compatibility with a 500.

The M7 also tilts from both ends. Yes another 'upgrage.

Do realize that all these possible upgrades is indicative of the forward/backward compatibility which has been in place for over over half a century. Even the power pro 'upgrade' do it yourself 'option' can be applied to a early 1950's first model Mark 5.

That said, ss does not totally support all the older versions. but many many parts are still the same!

Ha ha, Bob, good one. I love our inaccurate language and its intricacies, even in written form.

But who knows, maybe some lady will have one for sale, send him the serial number and the sawdust (sparks?) will fly.
