I cannot imagine that they do not; however, other than the administrator I do not believe that anyone has ever posted here (with Nick being an exception).

Do we even have any reason to believe that any of the employees even use a Mark V? Yes, there is Jim McCann - but I don't know anyone else unless we include Rick Davis.

When I talked to Linda in customer service and asked her if she looked at this site she answered that she did not have time to do that at work and didn't when off from shopsmith. She said she didn't know of anyone there that looked at the forum. Seemed like a canned answer.

She was very knowledgable and helpful.

I'll send her $50 if she sees this and sends me a copy of this offer. That oughta tell the tale.

Shopsmith has held their ground as indicated by the fact that forum rules have not be revised to openly allow commercial activities on the forum.

Therefore, I just hang here as an obedient participant of the forum and do little, other that occasionally express strong opinion, to get me in hot water. That is how it is and how it shall remain.
:)
What else is there to say???? Shopsmith is not going to change their minds about it, and why should they? Its there Forum.

It WAS a lost sale. But having a "for sale" section on this board wouldn't change anything. That wouldn't be to their advantage at all.

To catch those eBay buyers, I think Shopsmith should open an eBay store and list their full catalog there. I don't understand why they don't do it.

I think "admin" does. He seems to respond to kick off spammers fairly quickly, and has actually responded to a few posts. And there was that engineer that had a heated response to some problems someone was having with their Power Pro.

I do not necessarily interpret the "personal and non-commercial" use of the Shopsmith.com website as a prohibition to posting items for sale here at the forum. Taken in context, I think that may apply to other activity. Has there been a specific condemnation of offering items for sale at the forum from Shopsmith Inc.? There are at least a couple members here that have "signatures" that suggest they have used SS items for sale, and the regular links to Craigslist and ebay items go unchallenged, while obvious spam is quickly removed. I began my Shopsmith life with a Mark 5 that I bought used and it has resulted in a couple thousand dollars in Shopsmith Inc.'s coffers. Those that want a NEW Mark V/VII will buy from Shopsmith, those that want used will buy elsewhere and then buy from Shopsmith. I see it as a win/win. Just my opinion; I have never offered anything for sale here.

Nobody's tried it because its recent. Good idea and cheaper than dealing with ebay. Can I sell my Taiwan SS clone there?
